8 Ways I Add Meaning and Depth to My Monthly To Dos

I love a good to do list! Something about crossing off a task completed provides a sense of accomplishment and direction. Those unmarked tasks though…oh they can haunt me if they go unchecked.

One of the biggest adjustments I had to make early on in shifting from a career that was driven by corporate culture to one that was more intuitive and entrepreneurial in nature was all the pressure I was applying to myself to get so much done in one day. Whew - It’s been a journey and a practice!

Conceptually I understand that my task list is separate from who I am and yet, my identity and value can still get lost in it.

Here are 8 Things I started penciling in each month to add a sense of depth and perspective on paper to the action I take in life. They now heavily influence how I show up and have come in handy on the days when daily to dos go unchecked.

Here’s where I landed for October. How would you respond?

8 things I consider as each month begins

What am I affirming?

The dream begins in the same place the dream comes true.

What am I practicing?

Strength training as self love + the art of perfecting a French pressed coffee

What am I offering?

One-on-ones

What am I questioning?

Is addressing misconceptions around heaven + hell one talk or two? (cc: Awakenings Movement)

How will I ask for support?

By reminding the inner voice that says “I can do it” that just because I can doesn’t mean I should. Who can support me in this?

What am I open to receiving?

Support in areas I’d typically resist. (See previous response)

Who will I partner with?

Keith Kristich (more on this in the months ahead)

When will I rest?

When my body says partnered with deep disconnects on Tuesdays.

And you dear reader? What questions would you add? Leave a comment and let me know.
