My First AA Meeting

Maybe it's because this subject, the subject of addiction hits a little too close to home and the thought of putting all the details out on the interwebs is not one that I'm comfortable with. What I will say is this...I've looked into the empty eyes of a drug addict - a shell of a person that I loved. I've pleaded with them to please stop and I know how addiction can tear a family apart.

You Aren't Mad at Trump, You're Mad at Your Neighbor

All of a sudden something major happened. The illumination of the last red state turned our "no ways" inside out and it hurt.  It hurt because it meant that there are people in our daily life that we pass on the street, work with, go to church with (maybe even live with) and their vote said...My better is not the same as your better. Your experience is not my problem. Your idea of restoring and healing is not the same as my idea of restoring and healing.
